The two of them joined Reigen and Max and it didn't take long for them to find Chid and the pastor, either. Once they were out in the fields, Hitomi gazed out at the goats peeking out in the long expanse of green and was suddenly reminded of Gaea's own creatures. Many of them weren't altogether different from the ones she knew on earth; they just lacked (or had an extra) some key attribute that designated them as being from Earth.

How long had it been since she had seen any of those creatures? Even in the broken-off slice of Freid she started in, she hadn't seen a single creature from Gaea.
